I like how the yellows, and splashes of reds, in the abstracted foliage play off the darks of the background evergreens. The foliage also serves to break the strong verticals of the light tree trunks.
One of the many roadside areas on the Eastern slopes of the Cascades. Many travelers glimpse them from the car window but not many stop to enjoy the serenity of these places.
