When I painted this scene I wanted to use strong desert colors and try and capture the rich red orange textures of the desert floor contrasting with the beautiful greens of the bushes.
One of the most beautiful road trips I've been on is near Ivins, Snow Canyon, Utah. Especially after the Spring rains the desert colors are amazing, especially the red rock desert floor and green flora.
