During our return journey from San Juan Island, Ann and I stumbled upon a stunning beach near the ferry landing on Whidbey Island. The shoreline was dramatically adorned with piles of weathered driftwood, each piece telling its own story of resilience against the relentless waves. The gentle sound of the surf provided a calming backdrop as we walked along the sandy coast, taking in the beauty of the scene and the fresh, salty air. We couldn’t help but marvel at the unique shapes and textures of the driftwood, remnants of nature’s artistry, creating a picturesque setting that was both tranquil and captivating.
