My brother Todd put together an absolutely breathtaking display for me, featuring a collection of Calla Lilies in varying stages of bloom. Their trumpet-shaped petals, smooth and elegant, unfurl gracefully, showcasing a range of colors from pure white to deep violet. As I prepare to paint, I find myself captivated by the way the afternoon sunlight filters through the petals, creating an enchanting tapestry of light and shadow across the canvas. Each flower seems to tell its own story as the light plays upon its surface, highlighting the subtle gradients and intricate textures that make them so captivating.
