The deep ruts carved into the sandy path by my tires marked the route I took down to the bay at my parents’ property. As I drove, the salty air filled my lungs, invigorating me with the promise of the sea. I was on a mission to collect a generous load of seaweed for the garden, knowing its rich nutrients would greatly benefit the soil. Soon, as the tide began to rise, these ruts would transform into small pools, filling with glistening water that reflected the sunlight. The sound of the waves crashing nearby and the whisper of the breeze heightened my anticipation, reminding me of the beauty and bounty that the ocean always offers.
