We’re excited to return to the charming island of Caye Caulker, Belize for our next Plein Air Watercolor Workshop from January 22nd to January 30th, 2025.
This small Caribbean Island, just a short boat ride from the Belizean mainland, captivates with its pristine white beaches, relaxed “Go Slow” vibe, and spectacular natural scenery.
Caye Caulker is part of the Belize Barrier Reef system, the second-largest barrier reef in the world, offering stunning coastal landscapes perfect for painting “en plein air”.
Having visited before, we know all the ideal spots to set up our easels and capture the gentle breezes, vivid colors, and ever-changing light of this tropical paradise.

How do we get to the hotel upon arrival?
You can take a taxi and then a ferry to the island or a short 10 minute flight.
What should I bring?
You will need to bring your own brushes, pencils, paper, palette, paints, portable easel and stool. For the complete list, visit EricWiegardt.com under “Workshops.”
Is there a lot of walking?
We will be doing some walking. You will be carrying your own equipment. Please pack only what you can carry.
We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance to cover the cost of your trip and workshop.
